Sorry, no time!

Sorry, I've basically got no time today, so I'm just going to say a few highlights and pictures.

We went to zone conference in Umeå and had splits with the Zone Leaders as well. It was really fun and a beautiful city. Also, the Zone Conference itself was reaĺly inspiring.

My companion is leaving for home in a 2 weeks, and it's pretty sad! But he gave his final testimony at zone conference and it was really good! I'm going to miss him being my companion!

It poured rain here on Sunday when we were out! So much so that we stopped driving on the highway because it was way sketchy! But it was nice, because a member let us come in and dry off in while we were reacting because they had pity on us. That was nice!

Anyways, I've really gotta go! Have an awesome week!

Birthdays!

It's been an exciting and full week! It was both my birthday and Elder Blacks (my companion) and that was really fun!

Both birthdays were really good. But what was especially awesome was that the surprise party that the youth and ysa members put on. We regularly have an activity on Thursdays, where we have a spiritual message and then play games and stuff. Long story short, we ended up playing a minefield game and several people before us played with blindfolded on. Then me and my comp put them on, and they opened a side door thingy and pulled the blindfolds down and there was cake and treats and they all sung happy birthday. It was an awesome surprise and was way fun!

Besides that, the week has been really good. But something not so good happened! For some reason my phone deleted almost all the apps on it! It turned out that it's happened to several other people in our mission because of some sort of glitch with something on the phones. But it isn't good because it led to even the Area Book App (The app we plan on and has all the members and stuff) and Facebook getting deleted. So hopefully that get fixed too!

This week we have had a lot of miracles, but one was especially of notice. There is someone we have just begun to teach that we had planned to try to get in contact with by going by their home on Monday, but some things came up so the Sisters needed the car which left us unable to get out there to where our true d lives. So we instead went and tractsd in a different area around 20 minutes away from where our friend lives. As we were walking away from reacting that night, we saw a person walk behind their car for just a second. It looked like our friend. We went over, and it was him! He was out with his work visiting someone and ended up coming to where we were and walking outside his car at the perfect moment for us to see him! If we had gone by him instead, we would have missed him. It was a really amazing little miracle!

I hope you all have a fantastic week!!

8/13/18

It has been a really good week! A lot of the tracting and finding we've been doing recently has been paying off. We were able to teach a lot this last week, but here are a couple of the teaching opportunity highlights.

Firstly, we got to teach a Swedish family (mom dad and 2 kids) all about Eternal marriage and they were really interested and invited us back. We also were taken out to a fancy restaurant by a really cool Swedish man to teach him, and it was awesome! We also were able to meet and teach a member referal who is from South Africa so has a really amazing accent. Overall, it was a really good week!

Something else pretty cool happened. We use the car for around half the week, then switch with the sisters in the area. So we use the bus for the other half. Anyways, when we were tracting the other day, we ended up knocking into one of the bus drivers! He said basically that we are always nice and happy when we ride the bus, so we can come in. It was really cool! It was a lesson to me that people notice what we're doing even when we don't really think anyone is paying much attention. So we need to always be good examples and have an answer for the hope that is in us (1 Peter 3:15).

Anyways, I hope that everyone has a great week! Elder Black (my companion) has his birthday this Friday and mine is on Wednesday, so it should be a fun one! Have a good one!

August and... maggots?

Happy August everyone!

These last few days we've finally been able to have the weather cool down, and it feels so good! But sadly I don't have much time today, so it'll be a short email. But yeah, here we go!

After transfers this last week, we now have 5 missionaries instead of 4. One sister left, and then 2 new ones came in. There is one super crazy thing though! Two of the sisters have almost the same name as me! In the Sundsvall branch, we now have missionaries that are Sister Nilsson, Sister Nielsen, and Elder Nelson. Talk about confusing!!

Ok, I'm going to get into the bigger news of stuff that happened this week. So me and my companion were at the church and we get a call from the senior couple in charge of apartments for the missionaries. Pretty much, here's what happened. There used to be 2 sets of elders in Sundsvall, but one of them left recently, so the apartment is being returned and not used any more. So we've cleaned a lot of it out. But we haven't cleaned out the freezer all the way. So a little more than a week ago there was a power outage, and the freezer never turned back on afterwards. Pretty much, when the apartment couple went into the apartment, there were a ton of nasty flies and maggots and stuff! It was waaaay gross!

Sadly, that's about all the time I've got! We've seen lots of miracles this week, and the church is true. Have a good week!
